The registration for the workshop is $400 per firm. Each firm can have as many staff attend as they wish on one or both days.

Members who attend both days can earn 9 CPE credits.

In this webinar, we will discuss practical steps on how to launch a successful financial planning and analysis service within your CAS practice using Gartner’s Financial Analytics Maturity Model (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics) as a framework for moving up the advisory value chain.

Mike Triantos is Head of Partnerships at Jirav where he advises accounting and CFO firms on their financial planning and analysis (FP&A) strategy. Over the past 25 years, Mike served in multiple executive roles at three HR industry disruptors—Gusto, where he served as Head of Partnerships and Business Development and was instrumental in building Gusto for Partners; TriNet, where he served as Chief Client Officer and played an integral role in developing TriNet's sales, marketing, and channel strategy; and Zuman, where he was co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer.

Data analytics can truly transform the way we audit – increasing efficiency, advancing audit quality, reducing risk to firms, creating new opportunities and adding value for our clients. In this session, we will provide insights on how analytics deliver these benefits in real audit scenarios and demonstrate how every auditor can incorporate data analytics into their day-to-day work using a simple-to-use tool like TeamMate Analytics. We’ll also discuss practical approaches to rolling out analytics, including common pitfalls and approaches to avoiding them, to maximise success for your firm. If your firm is looking to advance its use of data analytics or just getting started, this session is for you.

Umer Farooqi is a lead technology product manager in the tax and accounting group at Wolters Kluwer. He helps guide the design and development of the CCH Axcess cloud applications and works with development teams to help deliver products that are responsive to customer needs. Previously, he worked at EY as an auditor and holds a CPA designation.

Russell Safirstein, Partner in Charge of Anchin Digital Risk Solutions and President & CEO of Redpoint Cybersecurity, will present some practical guidance on best practices in cybersecurity. In this session you’ll see the critical role you have in helping manage against the cyber threats that are all around us. You’ll see the 8 Essential things all businesses should do to protect their data. Additionally the session will include an update of recent cyber threat activity from current ransomware and other cyber cases that the Redpoint team has worked on and lessons learned from them. Russell will walk the participants through an sample ransomware event.
