The new lease accounting standard, ASC 842, requires organizations to think about the business impacts it will bring not only during implementation, but beyond. In this session, Jess Vento, Senior Director of Accounting | Client Success, will talk in depth about the effect ASC 842 has on:
- Operating leases;
- Debt covenants;
- Materiality;
- Implementation; and
- Ongoing maintenance.
Jess will also walk through real-world examples of leases and how they affect financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Jess Vento holds an MBA in Leadership and Management and a BA in Accounting from Ottawa University. She held previous positions at US Bank, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Burke Properties, and, most recently, at Founders 3 Real Estate Services. She is also a past President of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA) Milwaukee Chapter.
