Johanson & Yau ("JY") is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Lin as their new Managing Partner, effective July 1, 2023.

Elected by the firm's partners, Ms. Lin will oversee the firm's strategic initiatives, business operations, and talent development. "Laura's empathetic leadership style and her unwavering commitment to our clients make her the perfect choice for this role," said outgoing Managing partner Dave Davis.

Ms. Lin joined JY in 2003 and became a partner in 2017, specializing in financial audit and assurance. She has managed many of the firm's high-profile clients and complex projects throughout her tenure. "I am honored to be recognized by my peers and asked to step up to this new role," said Lin. "I will ask for their support, and together we will further invest in leadership, training, and technology and continue to make JY an exceptional workplace."

The outgoing Managing Partner, Mr. Davis, has served the firm with distinction for the past twelve years and will remain active as a firm partner and leader of the wealthcare practice group. Under his leadership, the firm has undergone unprecedented growth, and he has elevated the firm's profile as a board member of BKR International. "It's been a privilege to serve as Managing Partner for this amazing group of people," said Davis. "It is now time for the next generation to take the helm. Laura is an exceptionally warm and kind person. She will bring a fresh perspective, incredible passion, and energy to her new role. I am super excited for the firm's future."

"I don't expect to do this alone nor have all the answers. I believe in servant leadership and aim to care for our clients as we always have done. That begins with our people, and I want to ensure we continue cultivating a culture of learning, support, and excellence," remarked Ms. Lin.

She is the first female managing partner in the firm's 45-year history.
