Louis Plung & Company (Pittsburgh) Announces New Principal

Louis Plung & Company (LPC) is pleased to announce that Kevin Wilkes, JD has been promoted to principal.

Wilkes joined the firm in 2020, bringing with him 12 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions tax and tax consulting. He spent a year serving as an associate principal before stepping into the role of principal. In this new capacity, Wilkes is responsible for business development, mentoring, and managing a wide array of tax consulting and compliance engagements. A professional in the field since 2008, Wilkes has worked in senior-level positions at both a Big Four firm and a regional accounting firm.

In 2000, Wilkes graduated with high honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Art in Accounting. He went on to study at the William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate in 2006. In 2019 he returned to his studies again; he is currently in pursuit of a Master of Laws in Taxation at the Georgetown University Law Center and expects to graduate in 2022. Wilkes’ professional memberships include the Allegheny Tax Society, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Washington County Bar Association. He is also a member of the alumni associations of both MSU and W&M. Wilkes currently lives in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania with his spouse and their two children.
