Louis Plung & Company (LPC) is pleased to announce the recent promotions of Scott Blatchford, CPA, EA, Duke Griffith, Cassidy Martin, CFE, Sarah Morgan, Elissa Stremlau, CPA, and Sean Wlahofsky, CPA.

“These promotions make for a very exciting time for the firm,” said Louis Plung, CPA, managing partner of LPC. “This group of professionals have all worked diligently and consistently, putting full effort into serving the firm and our clients. These promotions are certainly well deserved.” 

Blatchford joined LPC in November 2018 as a supervising senior. He now steps into the role of manager in the firm’s Tax Department. Prior to joining LPC, Blatchford worked for a mid-sized regional CPA firm. Recently, he passed both the CPA and EA exams. Blatchford attended Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance in 2001.  

In January 2016, Griffith started his career with LPC as an audit intern; in July 2016, he joined the team fulltime as an audit staff. He was promoted to senior I in 2018 and now steps into the role of senior II. Griffith provides accounting assistance and performs audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in a variety of industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.

Martin completed an internship with LPC in 2016, working in the firm’s Forensic, Litigation, and Valuation Services Department. She went on to join the Audit Department fulltime as a staff in March 2017. In her new role as senior I, her responsibilities include performing audits, reviews, and compilations and assisting with valuations and forensic projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Forensic Accounting from Carlow University. 

In December 2015, Morgan joined the LPC team as a senior I and began serving in the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services Group. She brought with her several years of experience at a Big Four firm. Over the years, Morgan’s role evolved into preparing tax returns and providing tax consulting services. She now moves into the position of supervising senior in the firm’s Tax Department. Morgan attended Oklahoma State University, earning a Master of Science in Taxation in 1994.

Stremlau joined LPC in 2018 as a manager. She previously worked for a Big Four firm. She now takes on the role of senior manager in the firm’s Tax Department. Stremlau leverages her technical tax knowledge and experience to deliver high-quality services, increase client satisfaction, and add value to the LPC team. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business

Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accounting with a Tax Emphasis from the University of Arizona.

Wlahofsky first served LPC as a tax intern before joining the team fulltime as a tax staff in August 2016. He progressed quickly within the firm and now steps into the role of manager in the LPC Tax Department. Wlahofsky attended Robert Morris University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2016 and a Master of Science in Taxation in 2016.
